Nine Zero’s towers are planned with Mivan construction and an earthquake-resistant structural system*. Here is what that means in plain terms.
What is Mivan?
Mivan is a construction system that uses aluminium formwork. The walls and slabs of each floor are cast together in concrete, in one go. Brick-and-beam construction is different: a concrete frame is built first, and brick walls are filled in afterwards.
Why it matters
- Strength: walls and slabs work together as one structure, which helps with earthquake resistance.
- Precision: factory-made formwork gives consistent room sizes, straight walls and clean corners.
- Speed: a repeatable floor cycle helps keep high-rise construction on schedule.
- Fewer leaks: fewer joints between materials means fewer places for water to get in.
Things to know as an owner
In Mivan buildings most walls are structural concrete, so they can’t be broken or moved during renovation. Plan your interiors around the layout as designed. Wiring and plumbing are laid into the walls during construction, so check the electrical and plumbing points on your floor plan early.
Sustainability
Along with its structure, Nine Zero plans rainwater harvesting and efficient lighting* to keep everyday environmental impact lower.
